LIBNOVA supports the 13th International Digital Curation Conference that is taking place on February 19 to 22 in Barcelona
From LIBNOVA we like supporting the most relevant events in our sector. On this occasion, we are proud to support the 13th edition of the International Digital Curation Conference (IDCC18), one of the three most important digital preservation events over the world, which this year is being held for the first time in Spain.
Barcelona will host, on February 19 to 22, this congress organized, since 2005, by the Digital Curation Center (DCC) and that annually gathers professionals from more than 27 countries of the USA, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan, Brazil, Korea, Saudi Arabia and South Africa.
The IDCC18 will address issues related to digital preservation, digital healing and data processing, with special attention to coordination and interoperability, with investments being made in the NIH Commons initiative, the European Open Science Cloud and African Open Science Platform.
During the conference, you will find information about LIBSAFE, the digital preservation platform developed by LIBNOVA. However, do not hesitate to contact us to have a meeting with the LIBNOVA team in which we can exchange knowledge about digital preservation in a more personal way.
The Digital Curation Centre (DCC) is an internationally-recognised centre of expertise in digital curation with a focus on building capability and skills for research data management.
Many research teams are aware of data curation and its numerous benefits, but few have so far managed to address the issues practically and effectively in a working environment. So, the DCC provides expert advice and practical help to research organisations wanting to store, manage, protect and share digital research data.
Since 2005, the DCC has organized the International Digital Curation Conference (IDCC), which is an established annual event with a unique place in the digital curation community, reaching out to individuals, organisations and institutions across all disciplines and domains involved in curating data and providing an opportunity to get together with like-minded data practitioners to discuss policy and practice.
LIBNOVA is a leader in the digital preservation field.
LIBSAFE is the digital preservation software developed by LIBNOVA. It is a full OAIS / ISO 14,721-aligned preservation system, which guarantees the security, availability and access to your information in the long term (more than 10 years), in an easy and efficient way.
LIBNOVA has customers in 12 countries and offices in the USA (Florida), and in the EU (Spain) which allows them to offer their solutions worldwide.
